Last week I was fortunate enough to be invited to an amazing event by a friend of mine where I was introduced to the fabulous women of Denver Mile High Mamas(c) at the Denver Nature & Science's event called "Fall into the Amazon." This new exhibit is on display at the Denver Nature & Science Museum through January 2, 2011. I had an amazing opportunity to meet some great women while exploring the new exhibit at the museum. Not only that, the dinner was equally fabulous! The food was four stations featuring dishes of that region and there was something for everyone! While I did not bring the kids to this and truly enjoyed a fun-filled evening, I now have the opportunity to return with the kiddos at a later visit and let them explore the exhibit. The exhibit is neat and has interactive stations for kids and adults alike. You enter through a very neat boat with your tour guide! There are puzzles, videos, stencilling activities, meeting some creepy critters, and an electric shock from an eel. The possibilities are endless!
The Denver Nature and Science Museum is a great place on usual days and the Discovery Zone is my kids' favorite but if you have a chance, do go and check out the Amazon Voyage.
